Pig price in the North

Today, the price of live pigs in the North remains stable, fluctuating from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg. Specifically:

Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have the lowest prices in the region, at 62,000 VND/kg.

Hanoi and Phu Tho cities recorded the highest prices in the region and the country, reaching 64,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces such as Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang remained at around 62,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs today is also stable, fluctuating from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Lam Dong provinces recorded the highest price in the region at 62,000 VND/kg.

Binh Dinh maintained the price at 61,000 VND/kg, while other localities traded at the lowest level in the region, 60,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the South

Pig prices in the South today remain unchanged, ranging from 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Can Tho and Ca Mau recorded the highest price in the region, at 63,000 VND/kg.

Other localities in the region purchase at prices ranging from 60,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Recently, people in some areas near pig farms and households in Binh Thuan have reported about the bad smell affecting their lives and activities. In response to this situation, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province has monitored the implementation of environmental protection regulations at pig farms in the area.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has reported the situation and made recommendations to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department to coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the following measures:

Inspect, examine and handle pig farming projects according to authority, ensuring no environmental pollution or environmental hotspots arise.

Monitor and test odor treatment models on farms, evaluate effectiveness for replication and guide farm owners in implementation to minimize pollution.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Thuan province is also assigned the following tasks:

Review and count livestock facilities not located in permitted areas.

Develop plans and roadmaps for relocation, support facilities to cease operations in these areas, and ensure appropriate progress.

Take measures to limit environmental pollution in residential areas.

These solutions aim to control environmental pollution from pig farming and improve the quality of life for people in affected areas.
