Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs
On the morning of November 16, during his working program in Nghe An, comrade Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery (Anh Son district).
Also participating in the delegation were members of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Thai Thanh Quy - Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.g,Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Province, XV term; Do Trong Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.
On the side of Nghe An province, the delegation included comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

At the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, in a solemn atmosphere, with the morality of "drinking water, remembering its source", Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung and the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Memorial House of Uncle Ho and the Heroic Martyrs, and the Monument of Heroic Martyrs.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung and the delegation respectfully bowed to express their respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the noble international revolutionary cause.


The Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery was established in 1976 with an area of 6.8 hectares. This is the largest cemetery that gathers the graves of martyrs who are Vietnamese officers, volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and died in Laos.


The cemetery is currently the resting place of 10,825 martyrs from 47 provinces and cities across the country who died on the battlefield in Laos.

Since its construction, the cemetery has received and cared for nearly 11,000 remains of martyrs who died on the battlefield in Laos, including nearly 7,000 graves with unknown names and hometowns.

This is also the only cemetery in Vietnam named after two countries and two peoples, Vietnam and Laos, and is a symbol of the loyal solidarity of the two brotherly peoples.
