The Nghe An National Assembly delegation summarized its work in 2024 and outlined its tasks for 2025.

On the evening of November 28th, in Hanoi, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies from Nghe An province held a conference to summarize the work of 2024, implement tasks for 2025, and review the performance of the collective and leadership in 2024.

Attending the concluding conference were: Comrade Do Van Chien - Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, National Assembly Delegate from Nghe An province; and Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Committee, National Assembly Delegate from Nghe An province.

Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies - chaired the meeting.

Many positive results in various fields.

In 2024, the National Assembly held six sessions, including four extraordinary sessions, with a very large workload in the areas of legislation, supreme oversight, and decision-making on important national issues.

With high determination and under the leadership and guidance of the National Assembly Party Committee, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies has achieved many positive results in various fields, worthy of its role as a representative of the people and making many important contributions to the overall achievements of the National Assembly, the country, and the locality.

Notably, the Delegation organized 53 consultation sessions on 38 draft laws and 2 draft resolutions at the 7th and 8th sessions of the 15th National Assembly, with many innovations and diverse forms of organizing consultations on draft laws.

The delegation conducted 4 thematic supervisions and 3 thematic surveys combined with gathering opinions on draft laws; coordinated and participated in 5 supervision and survey delegations conducted by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, agencies of the National Assembly, and central agencies in Nghe An, and 2 thematic supervisions of the Provincial People's Council.

The delegation has always paid attention to and implemented voter outreach activities with many innovations in form; as of November 15, 2024, it had organized 3 rounds of voter outreach before and after the 7th Session, and before the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; including 27 voter outreach sessions in electoral units and 5 thematic voter outreach sessions targeting specific groups.

The delegation received 271 complaints, denunciations, petitions, and feedback letters from citizens, forwarded 85 to the competent authorities for resolution, and filed 170; issued guidance and response documents for 16 letters and received 61 written responses to citizens' letters.

The team regularly monitors, urges, and compiles responses to voters' opinions and suggestions; receives, classifies, and processes complaints, denunciations, suggestions, and feedback from citizens, in accordance with the law.

In addition, the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies always pays attention to effectively carrying out information and propaganda work; preparing for and participating in National Assembly sessions; foreign affairs and coordination activities; organizing and participating in conferences and seminars; and information and reporting activities.

In particular, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation pays great attention to social welfare work. From the beginning of 2024 to the present, they have supported and mobilized businesses and philanthropists to provide a total value of nearly 1.7 billion VND to help disadvantaged households, policy beneficiary families, build houses for the poor, and develop new rural areas…

Continue to innovate in operations to best meet the aspirations of voters.

At the conference, National Assembly deputies reviewed the results of the delegation's activities in 2024 and offered suggestions on the direction of activities for 2025.

Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Committee, Thai Thanh Quy - National Assembly Deputy from Nghe An province, agreed with the report assessing the results of the Delegation in 2024.

In particular, the Delegation not only performed well in its duties at the National Assembly forum and effectively participated in the activities of the National Assembly, but also closely coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province through the signing of a four-party coordination regulation to jointly support and share work for the development of the province.

Looking ahead, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy hopes that the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies will continue to build upon the achievements made to fulfill its tasks.

In particular, the delegation needs to continue focusing on digital transformation in its operations to more effectively synthesize, monitor, and pursue the resolution of voters' requests.

The Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Economic Committee also highly agreed that in 2025, the Delegation will work with relevant agencies to reassess the results of addressing voters' recommendations and recommendations following the Delegation's supervision submitted to functional agencies from the beginning of the term to date.

In her concluding remarks, Comrade Thai Thi An Chung, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of the province, on behalf of the Delegation's leadership, acknowledged the opinions and suggestions of the delegates.

Comrade Thai Thi An Chung suggested that in the coming time, the entire delegation and each delegate should strive even harder to best fulfill the role of elected representatives, especially in addressing voters' requests, in order to best meet the expectations and wishes of the voters of the province.

The Nghe An Provincial Delegation to the National Assembly in 2024 consists of 12 National Assembly deputies, including 6 deputies working in central agencies and 6 deputies working at the local level; 1 deputy is a member of the Politburo, 1 deputy is a member of the Central Committee of the Party, 1 deputy is a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and 3 deputies are members of the Provincial Party Committee; 4 National Assembly deputies are full-time at the central level, and 2 National Assembly deputies are full-time at the local level; there are 4 female deputies; and 3 deputies are from ethnic minorities.
