March 12, 1827:Phan Bá Vành, a leader of the peasant movement, was born in Minh Giám village, Vũ Thư district, Thái Bình province.

March 12, 1908:Birthday of revolutionary Ngo Gia Tu. In March 1929, he participated in the founding of the first communist cell in Vietnam. After the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Ngo Gia Tu was elected as the provisional Secretary of the Southern Regional Party Committee. At the end of 1930, he was arrested by the enemy in Saigon and exiled to Con Dao Island in May 1933. Comrade Ngo Gia Tu died during a sea escape attempt in early 1935.
