Military Region 4 meets with retired and retired senior military officers

On the morning of December 10, in Vinh city, the Military Region 4 Command held a meeting with retired and retired senior military officers on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).

Attending the meeting were comrades: Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung -Party Secretary,Political Commissar of Military Region; Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh –Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee,Commander of Military Region.

Also attending were representatives of departments and offices of the Military Region; former Commanders and Deputy Commanders of the Military Region and nearly 500 delegates who are retired or retired senior officials in the provinces of Military Region 4.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Party Standing Committee,Military Region 4 CommandLieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Political Commissar of the Military Region gave an overview of the world, regional and domestic situation; the results of the implementation of military and defense tasks, the building of the Army and the building of the Military Region's armed forces in the past time. Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung highly appreciated the contributions of senior officers and retired and retired Army generals in the area.

At the same time, the Political Commissar of Military Region 4 hopes that retired and retired senior military officers will continue to contribute ideas and impart valuable experiences, contributing with the armed forces of the Military Region to build a national defense for all people, a national defense posture for all people, and build a strong and comprehensive Army and Military Region to meet the requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

The meeting also received many enthusiastic and responsible opinions from retired and retired senior military officers. Thereby, expressing trust; acknowledging and appreciating the results of leadership and direction in implementing military and defense tasks, building the Party andarmed forcesMilitary region over the years.

In particular, the delegates exchanged experiences, made recommendations and proposed to the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense, and Military Region 4 Command many practical policies and solutions to better perform the tasks of building the Army and the armed forces of the Military Region.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Military Region Command, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4 thanked the delegates for their many contributions to the development of the Military Region's armed forces in recent years. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the team of retired and retired senior officers would continue to contribute opinions and impart valuable experiences so that generations of officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces could continue the glorious tradition of their fathers and brothers, strive to build a strong Military Region's armed forces, and successfully complete all tasks.

The Commander of the Military Region said that in 2025, the country, the Army, and the armed forces of the Military Region will witness many important political events, especially the 80th anniversary of the Military Region's armed forces. Therefore, the Command hopes that delegates will regularly pay attention and coordinate with the Military Region to organize many truly meaningful activities to match the 80 years of building, fighting, and growing of the armed forces of Military Region 4.
