Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace visits and congratulates officers and soldiers of Nghe An armed forces

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024); Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces received the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" (for the second time), on December 18, the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace led by Bishop Alphonse Nguyen Huu Long - Bishop of Vinh Diocese visited and congratulated the officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command and the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard.

At the Provincial Military Command, the delegation was received by comrades: Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander; Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar; Comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Military Command, Heads of the Staff, Political, Logistics and Technical Departments.

In particular, with the outstanding achievements in the new period, the armed forces of Nghe An province have been honored to receive the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" from the Party and the State. At the same time, the Bishop's Office and the Catholic community highly appreciate and thank the dedication of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command to the Catholic community in the province in maintaining political security and social order and safety, as well as economic development.

Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long also sincerely thanked the affection that the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command had for the Catholics of the whole province during Christmas 2024.

On behalf of the provincial Military Command, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia sincerely thanked Bishop Alphonse Nguyen Huu Long and the ranks of dignitaries, officials, monks and Catholics in the province for joining hands and contributing to the cadres and soldiers of the provincial Military Command in the past year to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Receiving the delegation from the Provincial Border Guard were Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Commander, comrades in the Standing Committee, Command, leaders of departments, offices, and the Office of the Command.

On behalf of the dignitaries, officials, monks and Catholics of the province, Bishop of Vinh Anphong Diocese Nguyen Huu Long congratulated the outstanding results that the officers and soldiers of the provincial Border Guard have achieved in the past year.

To achieve peace in the area, the Bishop's Office and the Catholic community highly appreciate and thank the dedication and overcoming of difficulties of the Border Guard officers and soldiers who are day and night at the border, firmly holding their guns to protect the peace of the homeland and the country. Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long also sincerely thanks the love, solidarity and attachment that the officers and soldiers of the Border Guard stations have given to the Catholic people of the whole province during Christmas 2024.

Expressing his joy at welcoming the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace to visit, on behalf of the officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Border Guard, Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc sincerely thanked the Bishop of Vinh Diocese Anphong Nguyen Huu Long, along with the dignitaries, officials, monks and Catholics of the province, for joining hands and contributing to the Border Guard officers and soldiers in the past year to successfully complete the task of protecting the province's border security and sovereignty.
