On December 23rd, Quynh Luu District held a ceremony to announce the establishment of administrative units, Party committees of communes and towns, and decisions on personnel matters.
Quynh Luu District is reorganizing 15 commune-level administrative units into 7 new administrative units. Specifically, the communes of Quynh My and Quynh Hoa are merged into Quynh Son; Quynh Luong and Quynh Minh are merged into Minh Luong; Son Hai and Quynh Tho are merged into Van Hai; Quynh Long and Quynh Thuan are merged into Thuan Long; Quynh Nghia and Tien Thuy are merged into Phu Nghia; Quynh Hung, Quynh Ba, and Quynh Ngoc are merged into Binh Son; and Quynh Hong commune, part of Hamlet 1 of Quynh Hung commune, part of Hamlet 7 of Quynh Ba commune, and Cau Giat town are merged into Cau Giat town.
At the district level, Quynh Luu announced the Decisions on the establishment of administrative units and Party Committees of communes and towns, and appointed comrades to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the communes of Quynh Son, Binh Son, Van Hai, Thuan Long, Phu Nghia and Cau Giat town for the term 2020 - 2025; at the same time, the District People's Council and People's Committee also approved the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Council of the communes; Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the communes and towns.

At the announcement ceremony, the leaders of Quynh Luu district requested that the Party committees, governments, and departments of the communes and towns immediately begin work; promptly direct the development of working regulations and the assignment of tasks to officials and civil servants, ensuring adherence to principles and suitability to the practical situation after the merger; continue to review and arrange the naming of villages and hamlets appropriately; and organize the organizational structure and personnel of the Fatherland Front Committee and other political and social organizations in accordance with regulations.
Coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly and fully implement policies and regulations for redundant officials, civil servants, workers, and non-specialized personnel resulting from restructuring according to current regulations; Pay attention to understanding the ideological situation and public opinion among officials, Party members, and the people after the restructuring. At the same time, prepare well for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
