Developing Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital into a regional referral center.
On January 5th, the Party Committee of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital held its 12th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending and directing the Congress were the following comrades:Phan Duc Dong– Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Council;Le Thi Hoai Chung– Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Nghe An Department of Health.
Comprehensive hospital development
Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics HospitalCurrently, it is a first-class provincial-level hospital, and also the final referral center for the examination and treatment of obstetric, gynecological, and pediatric diseases in the province. Over the past period, the hospital has achieved many important accomplishments in developing its technical expertise and improving service quality. The patient satisfaction rate has reached 98.73%.
Party building, agency development, and the development of political and social organizations have always been given priority. Most professional and Party building targets have been met or exceeded compared to the resolutions set by the Party Congress.
Speaking at the congress, Comrade Tang Xuan Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Hospital, stated: Leading up to the 12th Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, the Hospital's Party Committee has successfully organized the congresses of 31 subordinate Party branches; seriously implemented the process of contributing opinions to the draft documents of the higher-level Party congress; and focused on building political reports, self-criticism reports, and personnel plans for the 12th Party Committee in accordance with the Party's regulations and principles.
With the spirit of "Unity - Creativity - Integration - Development," the Party Committee of the Hospital sets the goal: "To enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; to build Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital into a Regional Hospital - the highest-level hospital for obstetrics and pediatrics examination and treatment in the North Central region by 2026. At the same time, to develop the hospital into a first-class, highly specialized unit, effectively meeting the needs of medical examination, treatment, and healthcare for the people in the province and surrounding areas."
Building smart, specialized hospitals.
In his address at the Congress, Comrade Phan Duc Dong – Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee – highly appreciated the hospital's efforts in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, with the motto of putting the patient at the center. Several key areas and specialized techniques such as open-heart surgery, reconstructive surgery for musculoskeletal deformities, and prenatal and neonatal screening and diagnosis have been effectively implemented.
The hospital has also built a team of management staff and medical doctors with a spirit of solidarity and high professional competence and skills. At the same time, the unit focuses on scientific research, guidance for lower-level healthcare facilities, international cooperation, hospital quality management, and social welfare activities, supporting patients in need.
Comrade Phan Duc Dong requested that, in the coming period, the Party Committee of the Hospital should continue to effectively implement Resolution 16-NQ/TU dated July 16, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on building and developing Vinh City until 2030, with a vision to 2045. This resolution identifies Vinh City as the medical center of the North Central region, and Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital as the leading unit in obstetrics and pediatrics in the region, meeting the standards of a Grade I specialized hospital with advanced expertise.
The hospital needs to strengthen its efforts in attracting leading experts, implementing data digitization, building a smart hospital, and improving the quality of patient care, while adhering to the 12 principles of medical ethics. Simultaneously, it needs to continue focusing on building the Party Committee, the agency, and political and social organizations.
The Congress elected 13 comrades to the Party Committee Executive Board for the 12th term, 2025-2030. Comrade Tang Xuan Hai - Director of the Hospital - was re-elected to the position of Secretary of the Hospital's Party Committee.
