To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, 8 out of 11 districts, cities, and towns in Tien Giang province have registered to hold low-altitude fireworks displays, including: My Tho City, Go Cong City, Cai Lay Town, and the districts of Cai Be, Cho Gao, Go Cong Tay, Go Cong Dong, and Tan Phu Dong.

Specifically, Cai Be and Go Cong Tay districts registered to have approximately 60 fireworks displays. My Tho City, Go Cong City, Cai Lay Town, Cho Gao, Go Cong Dong, and Tan Phu Dong districts registered to have approximately 90 fireworks displays.

Here are the details of the fireworks display locations:

- My Tho City, fireworks display location at Hung Vuong Square;

- Go Cong City, fireworks display location at the City's Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center;

- Cai Lay town, the firing location is in the commercial and residential area;

- Cai Be District, fireworks display location: Hau Phu 1 residential area;

- Cho Gao District, the fireworks display will take place at the District Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center;

- Go Cong Tay District, the fireworks display will take place at the District Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center;

- Go Cong Dong District, fireworks display location at the District Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center.

- Tan Phu Dong District, the fireworks display will take place at the District Administrative Center.

The fireworks display will last 15 minutes, from 00:00 to 00:15 on January 29, 2025 (i.e., New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake).

The Tien Giang Provincial Military Command has compiled and submitted a written request for a contract with a fireworks manufacturer.

The funding for organizing fireworks displays comes from social mobilization efforts by local authorities.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision assigning Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, as the Head of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Quy, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, as the Standing Deputy Head; and Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, as the Deputy Head.

The members include leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Finance, the Department of Information and Communications, the People's Committee of My Tho City, the People's Committee of Go Cong City, the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town, the People's Committee of Cai Be District, the People's Committee of Cho Gao District, the People's Committee of Go Cong Tay District, the People's Committee of Tan Phu Dong District, and the People's Committee of Go Cong Dong District. The Standing Committee of the Organizing Board is located at the Tien Giang Provincial Military Command.

The organizing committee is responsible for advising on the organization of low-altitude fireworks displays in the province (in localities that have registered and been approved) during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety, security, and fire and explosion prevention. They will develop specific plans and contracts for the purchase and supply of fireworks; and provide technical guidance to localities that have registered to hold low-altitude fireworks displays.
