Young man summoned for assaulting gas station employee.
Following the viral video on social media showing a gas station employee being assaulted in Quynh Luu district, authorities investigated and summoned the perpetrator.
On the afternoon of January 15th, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Tam commune, confirmed that the Quynh Tam commune police (Quynh Luu district) had summoned the young man who assaulted a gas station employee for questioning.
Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at 5:56 PM on January 14th, at a gas station in Quynh Tam commune, Quynh Luu district, a man driving a car suddenly attacked an employee while refueling. Despite the employee's attempts to dodge, the driver continued his violent behavior.
The victim is Mr. P.Đ.V. (born in 1988, a gas station employee residing in Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district). The incident resulted in Mr. V. sustaining injuries to his right eye.
Reportedly, on January 14th, the young man noticed that the odometer on his car didn't increase after refueling, leading him to suspect fraud. However, after Mr. V. explained that this was a state-owned gas station with all the necessary inspection certificates, the young man left. He returned later that afternoon and caused the incident.
After the video went viral on social media, the Quỳnh Tam commune police summoned the young man for questioning. The young man was identified as PVH (born in 1990, residing in Diễn Lâm commune, Diễn Châu district, Nghệ An province). At the police station, H. admitted to hitting P.Đ.V in the face with his hand.
According to a representative from the Quỳnh Tam commune police, they have received the case and sent a document to their superiors. The case is still under investigation and will be handled according to regulations.
