Strengthening people's trust in the face of erroneous and hostile views
That is the request of comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province to all levels, sectors and localities at the Conference on deploying the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in 2025.
On the afternoon of January 15, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in 2024, and deploying tasks for 2025.
Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, agencies and leaders of district, city, town Party Committees, affiliated Party Committees; the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the provincial level.
The report at the conference stated that in 2024, hostile forces, reactionaries, extremists, and political opportunists at home and abroad will continue to take advantage of political events and complex, sensitive incidents to post, share, and disseminate a lot of information with false content, distorting the truth, inciting and directing public opinion, causing confusion in society. In the province, hostile forces and political opportunists thoroughly take advantage of issues of public concern to incite dissent on social networks.
With the active participation of local authorities and sectors, by the end of 2024, the political security, order and social safety situation in the province was ensured, the economy and society were increasingly developed, and political events took place successfully. That result had a significant contribution from the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views, contributing to creating consensus in society.

The Provincial Steering Committee 35 has promptly advised the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to effectively direct and implement the directives and resolutions of the Central and the province on protecting the Party's ideological foundation. During the implementation process, the Steering Committee 35 and all levels, sectors and localities closely followed major events of the province and the country, especially forecasting complex and sensitive issues that arose to proactively develop plans and propaganda content, provide and orient public opinion information, and refute false and distorted arguments as soon as they arose.
Press agencies in the province regularly and effectively participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation with columns on Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, topics, and directional information, promptly combating the exploitation of sensitive events and issues by hostile forces to sabotage.
Units also actively propagated achievements in socio-economic development, promoted the image of the country and the province, especially the results of work to ensure security, order, sovereignty over seas and islands of the province and the country, good people, good deeds... contributing to strengthening trust among all classes of people, ensuring ideological security, order and social safety in the whole province.
The Provincial Party Committee and the Steering Committee of 35 provinces directed the organization and launch of a quality and effective response to the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - Nghe An in 2024 and the Political Contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against erroneous and hostile views organized by the Central Committee. Notably, for 3 consecutive years, the Steering Committee of 35 Nghe An Provincial Party Committee won the Excellent Collective Award nationwide; in 2024 alone, 3 authors and groups of authors won 2 B prizes and 1 C prize.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu praised the achievements in 2024 of the Steering Committee 35 of the provinces and all levels and sectors. Deploying the tasks of 2025, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu requested the entire political system in the province to continue to advise and direct the implementation of Conclusion No. 89-KL/TW, dated July 25, 2024 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 35 in conjunction with implementing Regulation No. 85-QD/TW, dated October 7, 2020 of the Secretariat on cadres and party members using personal electronic information pages on the Internet and social networks.
At the same time, proactively grasp, assess, analyze and forecast the activities of hostile forces, political and ideological opportunists, public opinions of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province to promptly propagate, orient and effectively fight against complicated arising incidents, avoiding bad guys taking advantage to sabotage the cause of building and developing the homeland and country.
Continue to innovate and improve the quality of the implementation of the Political Contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against erroneous and hostile views associated with the annual Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - Nghe An. Implement good coordination between forces, departments, branches and localities to increasingly closely link in providing fast, accurate information, with high propaganda effectiveness, especially when complicated incidents occur.
On this occasion, the provincial leaders awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to the Steering Committee 35 of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; and awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 3 authors and groups of authors who won high prizes in the 4th Political Essay Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2024.
