In particular, building data journalism is a new direction that Nghe An Newspaper is interested in.
2024 is the year that marks the strong changes of Nghe An Newspaper. In particular, during the year, Nghe An Newspaper has made many efforts in digital transformation.
On May 28, 2024, in addition to launching a new interface and a converged publishing system, Nghe An Newspaper launched a data press page on President Ho Chi Minh and his hometown Nghe An. On November 9, 2024, it continued to launch a data press page on Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement.

The organization of digitization of the system of documents, artifacts, books, and related newspapers into a system of multimedia articles with many separate and attractive sections is a particularly important step in storing, analyzing, and presenting press data. It is a reliable address for cadres, party members, and people to conveniently learn, research, and study about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as to have a general and comprehensive view of the revolutionary movement in the heroic homeland of Nghe An.

It can be seen that, with the strong development of science and technology, social networks and especially artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years, it has affected the behavior of internet users and the development trend of modern journalism. Therefore, building data journalism is an inevitable trend today. Especially in the context of Nghe An, there is still a lot of "room" to develop data journalism. As this is the largest locality in the country with many ethnic groups living together. This is also the homeland of the revolution with many historical and cultural relics, which can become an abundant resource for data journalism.

On the other hand, developing data journalism is also one of the activities to concretize the Plan to implement the digital transformation strategy of journalism to 2025, with a vision to 2030 of the Ministry of Information and Communications; Resolution on digital transformation of Nghe An province to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
At the same time, it is a way to concretize Plan No. 174/KH-UBND dated March 8, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Digital Transformation Strategy for the press until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Currently, Nghe An Newspaper is at the beginning of the digital transformation process and implementing outstanding content. The newspaper is focusing on in-depth research on readers, aiming to attract the public to itself based on 3 solutions: people - technology and outstanding content strategy.
