These bridges bring new hope to Nghe An.
People in Nghe An are happier because many new bridges have been and are about to be put into use, not only facilitating travel and trade but also contributing to the economic and social development of the area.
Nghe An province has a fairly extensive system of rivers and streams, including many large rivers such as the Lam River, Lach Van River (Dien Chau), and Mo River (Quynh Luu)...
In areas where there were previously no sturdy bridges, people had to cross rivers by ferry or use dilapidated bridges, posing a constant safety risk.
Given this situation, in recent years, with the attention of the State and support from various programs and projects, Nghe An province has built and is continuing to build many key bridges that facilitate trade and transportation for the people.

For example, the Cung ferry terminal is an important transportation route, with a high demand for travel between the two ends. The area connecting Cat Van commune (Thanh Chuong district) and Trung Son commune (Do Luong district) has long lacked a bridge. Every day, people have to travel across the river by ferry, facing numerous dangers at all times.
However, the people are delighted that since 2023, the Do Cung bridge project has received state investment for construction, with a total investment of over 178 billion VND. The Do Cung bridge project is 420m long and 9m wide. The bridge starts at Km111+530 on National Highway 46C, Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, and ends at Km55+160 on National Highway 46B, Trung Son commune, Do Luong district.

Mr. Tran Minh Luong from Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district, shared: "We are very excited to be able to cross the new bridge, which I and the people here have always dreamed of. The bridge will make it more convenient for us to travel, trade, and exchange goods between Cat Ngan area and Do Luong district, eliminating the need to rely on ferries to cross the river as before."
Also in 2025, Quynh Luu district will put into use the Quynh Nghia bridge across the Mo River, a vital bridge serving the coastal communes, replacing the old bridge which is seriously dilapidated and poses a safety risk. At the same time, this aims to meet the requirements for the development of a synchronized transportation infrastructure in the area, creating a main coastal transportation route, opening up new opportunities to promote the socio-economic development of the district.

The Quynh Nghia bridge project, with a length of 269m, is designed for permanent construction with 6 spans, 5 piers and 2 abutments, with a total investment of 150 billion VND for all project components. The bridge is expected to be put into use in 2025.
According to the Department of Transport, from 2020 to the present, using integrated funding sources such as World Bank (WB) funds, new rural development funds, and funds from the Vietnam Road Administration, Nghe An province has built and completed 250 rural bridges, putting into use many large bridges such as Thanh Nam bridge across the Lam River, connecting the town with the left bank of the Lam River in Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, Lach Van bridge, Dien Chau…

The completed bridges have facilitated travel, production, and the transportation of goods and agricultural products for the people. Currently, Nghe An is actively implementing the construction of a series of key bridges, such as the Nghi Quang Bridge (Nghi Loc), Lach Quen Bridge (Quynh Luu), Do Cung Bridge (Do Luong), and Quynh Nghia Bridge (Quynh Luu)...
Expected to be put into operation in 2025, it will not only add a modern and dynamic touch to the homeland but also connect key economic regions, contributing to the increasingly prosperous socio-economic development of Nghe An province.
In the coming period, Nghe An will continue to build the Ben Thuy 3 bridge connecting Vinh city (Nghe An) and Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh). This is one of the projects included in the list of priority investment projects for the period 2021 - 2030 using the State budget.
Thus, once completed, Ben Thuy 3 Bridge will become the third bridge connecting the provincial capital of Nghe An with the northern districts of Ha Tinh; thereby creating further impetus for linking the North Central region, especially the South Nghe An - North Ha Tinh area.
