In particular, in June 2024, the Hospital received the handover of the 2-plane DSA cardiovascular imaging and intervention system, which is the most modern generation of machines today. With that modern equipment system, it creates the premise for the Hospital to receive a number of new, specialized techniques in 2024, notably: Laser lithotripsy with an intervention team consisting of doctors who have been extensively trained in this technique at Hanoi Medical University Hospital - the cradle of laser lithotripsy. Vinh General Hospital is proud to be the pioneer in Nghe An to successfully apply the laser lithotripsy method, providing a safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment solution.
This is a method of treating gallstones through only a small skin incision of about 5mm. After the intervention, the patient has little pain, recovers quickly and is highly aesthetic; compared to a long incision in the middle of the abdomen to remove gallstones as before.
