Driving the wrong way on the highway, female driver fined 19 million VND
The Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) informed that it had fined the female driver VTTH (born in 1982, residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An) 19 million VND and deducted 4 points from her driver's license for driving the car in the wrong direction on Highway 45 - Nghi Son - Dien Chau - Bai Vot.
Specifically, at 8:54 a.m. on February 4, at Km 405 on the highway (Quynh Luu intersection, Nghe An), Ms. H. drove a car with license plate 37K-244.xx in the wrong direction. The violation was recorded by another vehicle's dash cam and posted on social media. After discovering the incident, the Highway Traffic Patrol and Control Team verified and invited Ms. H. to work.
At the headquarters, Ms. H. admitted to the violation and paid the fine according to regulations. She also said that because she was not familiar with the road and followed the instructions of Google Maps, she went the wrong way.
