Female driver fined 19 million VND for driving against traffic on highway.
The Highway Traffic Control Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) reported that they fined female driver VTTH (born in 1982, residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province) 19 million VND and deducted 4 points from her driver's license for driving against the flow of traffic on the National Highway 45 - Nghi Son - Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway.
Specifically, at 8:54 AM on February 4th, at Km 405 on the expressway (Quynh Luu interchange, Nghe An), Ms. H. was driving a car with license plate 37K-244.xx against the flow of traffic. This violation was recorded by the dashcam of another vehicle and posted on social media. After discovering the incident, the Expressway Traffic Patrol Team verified the information and summoned Ms. H. for questioning.
At the police station, Ms. H. admitted to the violation and paid the fine as prescribed, while also stating that she was unfamiliar with the route and followed the directions on Google Maps, which led to her driving against the flow of traffic.
