Coffee prices today February 17, 2025: World coffee prices set new records
Today, February 17, domestic coffee prices are at 129,500 - 131,000 VND/kg. Continuing to increase by 1000 - 1500 VND/kg compared to last week. In the world market, coffee prices also set new records, investors pushed up selling to take profits.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands today remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 129,500 - 131,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 131,000 VND/kg. No change compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 131,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged and were traded at 131,000 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged at VND129,500/kg.

Coffee prices in Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces are all increasing by VND1,500/kg compared to last week. In Lam Dong province alone, coffee prices are trading at the lowest level of VND129,500/kg, an increase of VND1,000/kg.
Thus, the domestic coffee price has increased for 5 consecutive weeks, with a total increase of 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg. In recent trading sessions, the price has reached 133,000 VND/kg, approaching the historical peak of 134,200 VND/kg achieved in April 2024.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market also increased sharply and set new peaks last week.
On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee contracts for delivery in March 2025 closed on February 15 at $5,735/ton, up 3.1% ($174/ton) compared to the end of last week; contracts for delivery in May 2025 increased 2.9% ($162/ton), reaching $5,726/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in March 2025 closed the weekend trading session at 419.75 US cents/pound, up 3.8% (15.4 US cents/pound) compared to the previous week; the contract for delivery in May 2025 also increased 2.7% (10.7 US cents/pound), closing at 407.4 US cents/pound.
Last week, Arabica coffee prices hit an all-time high of 438.9 US cents/pound in the trading session on February 14 and Robusta hit a record of 5,817 USD/ton on February 13.
Coffee prices fell due to profit-taking. After coffee prices hit a record high last week, investors rushed to sell to preserve profits.
The latest report shows that coffee production in Brazil and Vietnam may increase again in the next crop year, causing speculators to adjust their expectations.
In addition, the stronger US dollar also puts downward pressure on commodity prices, including coffee.
Although coffee prices are showing signs of adjustment, experts say the market still has many potential risks because actual supply has not improved significantly.
