Pepper price today February 17, 2025: Increased for the second consecutive week
Today's domestic pepper price on February 17 is at 157,000 - 160,000 VND/kg. Domestic pepper prices still increased by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to last week. Vietnam's pepper exports in 2025 will have many advantages.
Domestic pepper price today
The highest pepper purchase price in key pepper growing areas (Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc) was recorded at 160,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Dak Nong province, pepper price is at 160,000 VND/kg. Unchanged compared to yesterday.
In Gia Lai, pepper price is 157,000 VND/kg. Unchanged compared to yesterday.
In Dak Lak, pepper price is 160,000 VND/kg. Unchanged compared to yesterday.
In Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai, pepper price today is at 157,000 VND/kg. Unchanged compared to yesterday.
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, pepper price today is at 158,000 VND/kg. Unchanged compared to yesterday.
Thus, today's pepper price in the domestic market is currently at its lowest price of 157,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices fluctuated strongly last week, soaring to VND6,000/kg in the middle of the week, but then falling to VND160,000/kg at the end of the week.
However, at the end of last week, pepper prices increased by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week and recorded the second consecutive week of price increase after the Lunar New Year.
Of which, pepper price in Dak Lak province increased the most by 2,000 VND/kg, other localities increased by 1,000 VND/kg. Pepper price in Binh Phuoc remained unchanged compared to last week.
According to experts, domestic pepper prices have increased sharply due to high consumption demand while our pepper supply and inventory are limited. Meanwhile, the harvest season is delayed by about a month due to changes in the weather.

Giá tiêu thế giới hôm nay
Trên thị trường thế giới, dựa trên báo giá của các doanh nghiệp xuất khẩu và giá xuất cảng tại các nước, Hiệp hội Hồ tiêu Quốc tế (IPC) đã cập nhật giá tiêu các loại giao dịch trên thị trường quốc tế trong ngày 17/2 (theo giờ địa phương) như sau:
Giá tiêu đen Lampung của Indonesia không thay đổi so với ngày hôm qua đạt 7,251 USD/tấn. Ngoài ra, giá tiêu trắng Muntok cũng không thay đổi so với ngày hôm qua đạt 10,068 USD/tấn.
Giá tiêu đen ASTA 570 của Brazil không thay đổi so với hôm qua ở mức 6,700 USD/tấn.
Giá tiêu đen ASTA của Malaysia ổn định so với hôm qua hiện ở mức 9,000 USD/tấn. Ngoài ra, giá tiêu trắng ASTA của nước này cũng đi ngang so với hôm qua đạt 11,600 USD/tấn.
Giá tiêu các loại của Việt Nam ổn định so với ngày hôm qua. Trong đó, giá tiêu đen của Việt Nam loại 500 gr/l đạt 6,500 USD/tấn; loại 550 gr/l đạt 6,650 USD/tấn.
Tương tự, giá tiêu trắng của Việt Nam đi ngang so với hôm qua đạt 9,550 USD/tấn.
Kết thúc tuần qua, Hiệp hội Hồ tiêu Quốc tế (IPC) niêm yết giá tiêu đen Lampung của Indonesia tăng nhẹ 0,2% so với tuần trước. Đáng chú ý, giá tiêu đen ASTA 570 Brazil tăng mạnh 4,6% (300 USD/tấn) trong tuần qua.
Cộng đồng Hồ tiêu Quốc tế (IPC) dự báo sản lượng hồ tiêu toàn cầu năm 2025 sẽ tiếp tục giảm, đặc biệt là tại Việt Nam và Brazil – hai quốc gia xuất khẩu hồ tiêu lớn nhất thế giới. Cộng đồng này ước tính rằng sản lượng hồ tiêu thế giới sẽ giảm khoảng 4%, tương đương 22,000 tấn. IPC đánh giá, sự sụt giảm sản lượng này có thể đẩy giá hồ tiêu trên thị trường thế giới tăng cao trong năm nay.
