Nghe An province has 4 individuals who have been awarded the title of 'People's Physician' by the President of Vietnam.
On the morning of February 26th, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong met with a delegation of outstanding medical professionals and awarded the title of "People's Physician" for 2024. Nghe An province was honored to have four physicians awarded this prestigious title.
On June 27, 2024, the President issued Decision No. 614/QD-CTN awarding the title of People's Physician to 46 individuals who have made significant contributions to the cause of protecting, caring for, and improving the health of the people.
According to Decision No. 614/QD-CTN, the provinceNghe AnFour individuals were awarded the title of People's Physician, including: Associate Professor, Doctor Duong Dinh Chinh – Secretary of the Nghi Loc District Party Committee, former Director of the Nghe An Department of Health; Doctor Pham Vinh Hung – Deputy Director and Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, Nghe An Oncology Hospital; Specialist Doctor Nguyen Ba Tan – former Head of the Population and Family Planning Department of Nghe An province; Specialist Doctor Nguyen Hai Linh – Director of Quang Khoi General Hospital, former Director of Thanh Chuong General Hospital.
At the meeting, President Luong Cuong awarded the title of "People's Physician" for 2024 to individuals, including four physicians from the province.Nghe AnAssociate Professor, Doctor Duong Dinh Chinh – Secretary of the Nghi Loc District Party Committee, former Director of the Nghe An Department of Health – had the honor of representing 46 People's Physicians and delivering a presentation at the meeting.
To date, Nghe An province has had 12 individuals honored with the title of People's Physician. Previously, Nghe An had 8 physicians who had been awarded this title, including:
1. Doctor Pham Van Thanh – former Director of the Nghe An Department of Health (awarded in 2012).
2. Doctor Duong Cong Hoat – former Director of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital (awarded in 2012).
3. Doctor Nguyen Van Sau - former Director of Vinh City General Hospital (awarded in 2017).
4. Dr. Le Thanh Ha - former Director of the Center for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control (awarded in 2017).
5. Pharmacist Hoang Van Hao - former Acting Director of the Nghe An Department of Health (awarded in 2020).
6. Doctor Dau Huy Hoan - Director of Nghe An Lung Hospital (awarded in 2020).
7. Doctor Nguyen Viet Duong - former Director of Quynh Lap Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital (awarded in 2020).
8. Doctor Hoang Nghia Nam - former Head of the Military Medical Department, Logistics Department, Military Region 4 (awarded in 2020).
