Construction of new office of the President at 2 Le Thach

The National Assembly allows the implementation of a number of urgent mechanisms and solutions necessary to implement the project of renovating, repairing, upgrading, and building a new office building of the President's office at 2 Le Thach, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has just signed a resolution on the policy of investing in additional charter capital for the 2024-2026 period of the parent company - Vietnam Expressway Corporation; a number of urgent mechanisms and solutions needed to implement the project of renovating, repairing, upgrading and building a new office building of the President's office.

Accordingly, the National Assembly allows the implementation of a number of urgent mechanisms and solutions necessary to implement the project of renovating, repairing, upgrading, and building a new office building of the President's office at 2 Le Thach, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

The Resolution assigns the Government to direct the organization, deployment and implementation of the project to ensure progress, quality, savings, efficiency, and to prevent negativity, loss and waste of the state budget.

The National Assembly agreed to the policy of investing additional charter capital for the parent company - Vietnam Expressway Corporation for the 2024-2026 period with an additional amount of VND 38,251 billion.

Of which, the source of the Enterprise Development Investment Fund is 1,562 billion VND; the state budget has assigned a plan to the Ministry of Transport to invest in 5 expressway projects and has been disbursed 35,689 billion VND.

Address No. 2 Le Thach is the Government Guest House (Bac Bo Phu building) - a famous historical relic of Hanoi Capital, with one address at No. 12 Ngo Quyen in Hoan Kiem district.
The central location is an ancient building with magnificent French architecture. The surrounding area is green with Dien Hong flower garden (Toad flower garden) on Ngo Quyen street and Ly Thai To flower garden on Le Thach street.
This building was previously used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive international delegations and hold press conferences.
