Article 17The Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 stipulates avoiding vehicles going in the opposite direction as follows:
1. On a road that is not divided into two separate directions, when two vehicles going in opposite directions avoid each other, the driver of the vehicle participating in road traffic must reduce speed and move to the right in the direction of travel.

2. Cases of giving way when avoiding each other include:
a) On narrow roads that are only wide enough for one vehicle and have a place to avoid vehicles, the vehicle closer to the place to avoid must move into the avoiding position and give way to oncoming vehicles;
b) Downhill vehicles must give way to uphill vehicles;
c) Vehicles with obstacles in front must give way to vehicles without obstacles in front.
