Despite the suspension order, the illegal wood chipping facility still deliberately operates.
Although the authorities have suspended operations, an illegal wood chip processing facility in Quyet Tien village, Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district is still operating.

As reported, on February 23, 2025, the authorities of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district conducted an inspection and discovered a newly built illegal wood chip production facility, built by Mr. Nguyen Van H, located in Quyet Tien village, Chi Khe commune. Immediately after that, the authorities drew up a record of administrative violations, requested to stop the operation and submitted it to the competent authority for handling.
Then, on February 24, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and the working group directly inspected this unlicensed wood chip processing facility. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the local authorities to closely monitor the suspension of this facility's operations.

However, just a few days after the provincial working group inspected, the facility continued to operate illegally, ignoring the instructions of provincial leaders.
According to actual observations from March 2-4, at the scene, trucks were still transporting glue to this illegal wood chipping facility, the chipping machine system was operating normally, and wood chips were piled high around the yard area. Although it was an illegal facility, this place had invested in a modern processing line, with a system of workshops, excavators, weighing stations and operating rooms.

Notably, this facility is located deep within the premises of Tan Hong Pulp Factory in Quyet Tien village. This factory has long ceased operations and is currently leased to another unit to be used as a garment factory.
Discussing the issue of the illegal wood chip processing facility in operation, Mr. Lo Van Thao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district said: "We will immediately inspect and take measures to handle this wood chip facility."

The above incident shows that the handling of administrative violations against illegal wood processing facilities still has many shortcomings. Without stricter monitoring and handling measures, this situation may continue, affecting the environment and the State management order in the area.
