LPBank interest rates for March 2025

LPBank reduces deposit interest rates at the counter.

Effective March 3, 2025, LPBank has adjusted and reduced deposit interest rates for individual customers depositing savings at the counter. The reduction applies to all terms.

Specifically, interest rates for 1-2 month terms are currently at 3.1% per year. Interest rates for 3-5 month terms decreased by 0.1 percentage point, to 3.32% per year. Deposits with terms of 6-11 months have an interest rate of 4.1% per year, also down 0.1 percentage point compared to before.

The interest rate for 12-16 month terms is currently 5.1% per year, while for 18-month terms or longer, it has decreased to 5.4% per year. Short-term deposits from 1 week to 3 weeks continue to maintain at 0.1% per year.

Online deposit interest rates have decreased slightly.

LPBank has also adjusted its online savings interest rates downwards, but the reduction only applies to longer terms. Currently, online interest rates range from 3.6% to 5.7% per year for end-of-term interest payments.

Interest rates for 1-month and 2-month deposits remain unchanged at 3.6%/year and 3.7%/year, respectively. Deposits with terms of 3-5 months have an interest rate of 3.9%/year.

Interest rates for 6-11 month terms are 5.1% per year, while 12-15 month terms are at 5.5% per year. For deposits of 18 months or more, interest rates have decreased by 0.1 percentage point, currently at 5.7% per year.

Reasons why LPBank reduced interest rates.

LPBank's interest rate reduction follows a meeting of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on February 25th with representatives of commercial banks. The goal of the meeting was to stabilize deposit interest rates and reduce lending interest rates as directed by the Prime Minister.

As of March 3rd, 10 commercial banks have adjusted their listed interest rates downwards, including BVBank, MSB, VietBank, Saigonbank, VIB, BaoVietBank, Kienlongbank, Bac A Bank, Viet A Bank, and PGBank.
