LPBank reduces deposit interest rates at the counter

From March 3, 2025, LPBank has adjusted down the mobilization interest rate for individual customers depositing savings at the counter. The reduction is applied to all terms.

Specifically, the interest rate for 1-2 month terms is currently at 3.1%/year. The 3-5 month term has decreased by 0.1 percentage point to 3.32%/year. The interest rate for 6-11 month term deposits is 4.1%/year, also decreased by 0.1 percentage point compared to before.

The 12-16 month term currently has an interest rate of 5.1%/year, while the term of 18 months or more has dropped to 5.4%/year. Short-term deposits from 1 week to 3 weeks continue to be maintained at 0.1%/year.

Online deposit interest rates slightly decreased

LPBank also adjusted the online savings interest rate down, but the reduction only applies to long terms. Currently, online interest rates range from 3.6% - 5.7%/year for the form of receiving interest at the end of the term.

Interest rates for 1-month and 2-month terms remain at 3.6%/year and 3.7%/year. Deposits with 3-5-month terms have an interest rate of 3.9%/year.

The 6-11 month term has an interest rate of 5.1%/year, while the 12-15 month term is at 5.5%/year. For deposits from 18 months onwards, the interest rate decreased by 0.1 percentage point, currently at 5.7%/year.

Reasons for LPBank's interest rate reduction

LPBank's interest rate reduction came after a meeting of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on February 25 with representatives of commercial banks. The meeting's goal was to stabilize deposit interest rates and reduce lending interest rates as directed by the Prime Minister.

As of March 3, 10 commercial banks have adjusted down their listed interest rates at the counter, including BVBank, MSB, VietBank, Saigonbank, VIB, BaoVietBank, Kienlongbank, Bac A Bank, Viet A Bank and PGBank.
