Mr. Thuy, though wanting to teach his nephew a lesson, eventually softens and agrees to lend him money to pay off the debt on the condition that Nguyen works hard for four years, otherwise he will lose control of the library – the only legacy his father left behind. From the advice of his best friend to agreeing to the contract with Mr. Thuy, Nguyen seems to begin to change, determined to return to Van district with Mr. Nhan to find the urn containing the ashes. The secret hidden within the urn only intensifies the curiosity: what could it be?
