Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. on March 18, 2025, the Military Command of Dien Loc commune, Dien Chau district, received a report from Mr. Trinh Van Thiet, who was driving an excavator to construct a football field in Dien Loc commune, discovering a metal object, cylindrical in shape, suspected to be a bomb in Xuan Nho hamlet, Dien Loc commune, Dien Chau district, located under the layer of soil covering the football field about 1 meter above ground, near the residential area.

The Military Command of Dien Loc commune quickly sent forces to the scene, blocked off the area suspected of having a bomb, organized 24/7 vigilance, did not let people and livestock come near, and promptly reported to the District People's Committee and the Military Command of Dien Chau district for understanding and direction.
Upon receiving the information, the Dien Chau District Military Command and the Engineering Department - Provincial Military Command verified the information and identified the object as abombA remnant of the war dropped by the US, it is a demolition bomb, coded MK-82, 20cm in diameter, 155cm long, weighs about 340kg, and still has the detonator intact.
