No change in high school graduation exam schedule in 2025

Today (March 20), the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 1195/BGDĐT-QLCL to the Departments of Education and Training of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, and Quang Tri provinces and cities regarding the time to organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

According to this dispatch, the Ministry of Education and Training acknowledges and highly appreciates the proactiveness of units in proposing adjustments to the high school graduation exam schedule to meet practical needs in localities and other actual situations.

However, after considering many factors, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to keep the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule as announced in the 2024-2025 school year plan (according to Decision No. 2045/QD-BGDDT dated August 1, 2024).

Keeping the exam schedule unchanged is intended to help stabilize the psychology of parents and students and not affect other activities in the education sector.

So, with this text,high school graduation exam schedule2025 remains the same on June 26-27.

Previously, the Departments of Education and Training of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Nghe An and Quang Tri had submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Education and Training to move the graduation exam from late June to early June.

The proposal was made in the context that the whole country is preparing to merge a number of provincial-level administrative units, not organizing the district level, and continuing to merge commune-level administrative units according to Conclusion 127 - KL/TW dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and Secretariat.

Accordingly, if the high school graduation exam schedule is adjusted earlier this school year, it will facilitate the preparation work of localities to implement it safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations; ensuring the rights and psychological stability of students.
