The coastal plain of Nghe An province has the potential to develop OCOP (One Commune One Product) products from aquatic and marine products such as shrimp, fish, squid, and many other agricultural products. This is a local resource and an advantage that will help these products increase their competitiveness in the market.

Dien Chau district, with its vast coastal area, provides raw materials for the production of dozens of OCOP (One Commune One Product) products such as fish sauce, peeled shrimp, and various seafood products, which have been regularly consumed by many domestic customers. After nearly 5 years of implementing the "One Commune One Product" program, Dien Chau now has 42 OCOP products, including 2 products that have achieved 4-star OCOP status: Sy Thang lotus peanuts from Sy Thang Agricultural and Forestry Products Co., Ltd. and Van Phan fish sauce from Van Phan Seafood Joint Stock Company.

To stimulate the consumption of local OCOP products, the district annually collaborates with relevant departments, agencies, and the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion to organize workshops to introduce and promote products at regional and national trade fairs, as well as Tet (Lunar New Year) fairs. Simultaneously, it has developed an e-commerce platform and established booths to showcase local OCOP products. As a result, Dien Chau's OCOP products are becoming increasingly well-known to consumers.

Previously, OCOP products mainly consisted of fish sauce, shrimp paste, and pickled shrimp. Now, Vinh City has expanded to include many new products in the seafood processing industry, such as grilled mackerel, squid patties, mackerel patties, shredded dried shrimp, peanut candy, and nutritional cereals. Most people involved in the seafood processing business in coastal areas have many years of experience in production and trading, and have a stable customer base.
