Nghe An won 2 Second Prizes and 5 Third Prizes at the Final Round of the Contest 'Students with Startup Ideas'

The final round of the “Students with Startup Ideas” Contest is one of the key activities of the 7th National Startup Day for Students in 2025, held in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year’s final round brought together 125 outstanding projects, selected from 775 applications. The highlight of the 2025 season is the record number of projects thanks to the participation of the vocational education sector for the first time after being transferred to the Ministry of Education and Training for management since the beginning of the year; at the same time, the jury scored right at each booth, creating a lively interactive space between the contestants and the professional council.

Nghe An delegation participated with 8 projects, including 6 projects from vocational training institutions and 2 projects from high schools. In the final results, Nghe An students won 2 Second prizes, 5 Third prizes and 1 Encouragement prize.

Specifically, 2 Second Prizes were awarded to the projects "24-hour repair - maintenance - rescue service for motorbikes and electric vehicles" and "Model for managing boarding students", both implemented by Viet - Duc Nghe An College.

5 Third prizes went to the projects: “Mimofri - Mini refrigerator” and “Hippo Steam - STEM education for preschool children” (Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College); “Mobile electricity and refrigeration trading and service company” (North Nghe An Economic Technical College); “MoneyLog - Smart spending management” (Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted); and “BL4NSP- Applying blockchain in the production and trading of medicinal herbs under natural forest canopy to support sustainable livelihoods" (Vinh University High School for the Gifted, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Le Viet Thuat High School).

Along with that, the "Handmade scented candles" project of Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College received the Encouragement prize.

In addition, at the closing ceremony, summaryThe 7th National Student Startup Day 2025Taking place on the afternoon of April 20, Nghe An had 3 groups (Department of Education and Training, Nghe An Vietnam - Germany College, Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College) and 3 individuals receiving Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for their outstanding achievements in supporting students to start businesses.

The 7th National Student Startup Day 2025 took place from April 18-20 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

In addition to the Final Round of the “Students with Startup Ideas” Contest, many important events also took place at the festival, such as: Conference summarizing Project 1665 “Supporting students to start a business by 2025”; Forum “Startup inspiration from technology entrepreneurs”; seminars on startups in universities, vocational education and general education; investment - incubation connection program; space for technology experience and creative product display.
