Change your driver's license via your VNEID account.
Currently, people can simply stay at home and complete the procedure for renewing their driver's license through their VNEID account.

Many people have questions about the online driver's license renewal procedure. Regarding this matter, the Traffic Police Department advises that those wishing to apply for or renew a driver's license online should access the National Public Service Portal. There, they can log in using their VNEID account.
Then select the "Renew Driver's License" service. Citizens choose the receiving agency, the reason for renewing the driver's license, and then search for information on the issued driver's license using the driver's license number.
Next, citizens check their personal information and driver's license, then look up their health check information using the health certificate code or citizen identification number, and then view the health details. After that, they follow the instructions and upload a portrait photo.
The next step is to attach the required documents as instructed, double-check the contact information, then confirm the information and click continue. Citizens need to choose how to receive the results, verify the recipient's information, and enter the delivery address.
Finally, select "Submit Application," and you can review the information after your application is successfully submitted.
After clicking "Submit Application," citizens have successfully registered for the license renewal service on the Level 4 public service portal, and are waiting for the competent authority to approve and provide guidance on supplementing the application (if there are any errors or missing information).
The fee for issuing or renewing driver's licenses through online public services will be 115,000 VND per issuance (as per Circular 63/2023 of the Ministry of Finance).
The time it takes to receive results and display information on VNeID will be the same as applying in person. Driving license results will be delivered via postal service upon individual request.
The documents required for exchanging or reissuing a driver's license include: an application form for exchanging or reissuing a driver's license according to the prescribed mẫu; a driver's health certificate issued by a qualified medical facility (except for those holding A1, A, or B1 class driver's licenses); a certified copy or electronic copy of the driver's license and citizen identification card; and a valid passport (for foreigners and Vietnamese citizens residing abroad).
In cases where a driver's license combines two categories and the holder is currently suspended from using one category's license, they must submit the administrative penalty decision for traffic violations to have it exchanged for the other category.
In addition, citizens who wish to downgrade their driver's license to a lower class must clearly state this in the application for license renewal or reissuance and are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
