A man in Nam Dan district, while collecting scrap, picked up a plastic bag containing a valuable gold ring.

Immediately afterwards, the man brought it to the Commune Police to ask them to contact the owner to return it.

Previously, at around 2:15 p.m. on April 30, Mr. Le Van Loi (born in 1983), residing in Hamlet 3, Khanh Son Commune, Nam Dan District, while collecting scrap at a landfill in Trung Phuc Cuong Commune, suddenly discovered a plastic bag containing a gold ring.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Loi brought the found object to report and hand it over at the Trung Phuc Cuong Commune Police Station (Nam Dan).

Receiving information and assets from Mr. Loi, Trung Phuc Cuong Commune Police promptly took action, using many professional measures to verify and search for the legal owner of the ring.

At around 5:30 p.m. the same day, the police identified the owner of the ring as Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1978), residing in Duc Bong Commune, Vu Quang District, Ha Tinh Province. Immediately afterwards, the Commune Police contacted and invited Dung to the headquarters to receive the property.

Trung Phuc Cuong Commune Police returned the property to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung under the witness of Mr. Loi - the person who found the ring (far right).

According to Mr. Dung, the ring is 9999 gold, weighs 3 taels, and was bought by him in early 2025 for nearly 30 million VND. While cleaning the house, he accidentally put the ring in the family's trash bag and did not know until he was contacted by Trung Phuc Cuong Commune Police.

Mr. Le Van Loi’s actions not only demonstrate the good qualities of an honest citizen but also spread a positive message about honesty and noble deeds in everyday life. Despite his difficult circumstances and living by collecting scrap metal, Mr. Loi still chose to act beautifully, honestly and humanely.
