What kind of support do people receive when the government reclaims their land?

Article 108 of the 2024 Land Law (effective from January 1, 2025) stipulates:

1. Support when the State reclaims land includes:

a) Support for stabilizing livelihoods;

b) Support for stabilizing production and business;

c) Assisting with the relocation of livestock;

d) Support for training, career chuyển đổi, and job search;

d) Support for resettlement in cases stipulated in Clause 8, Article 111 of this Law;

e) Providing support for dismantling, demolishing, and relocating as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 105 of this Law.

2. In addition to the support stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article, based on the actual situation in the locality, the People's Committee of the province shall decide on other measures and levels of support to ensure housing, stable living conditions, and production for people whose land is reclaimed and owners of assets for each specific project.

3. The Government shall provide detailed regulations for this Article.
