What support do people get when the State reclaims land?
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, residing in Quynh Luu district, asked: According to current legal regulations, when the State reclaims land, what support will the land users receive?
Article 108 of the 2024 Land Law (effective from January 1, 2025) stipulates:
1. Support when the State reclaims land includes:
a) Support for stabilizing life;
b) Support stable production and business;
c) Support for livestock relocation;
d) Support for training, career conversion and job search;
d) Resettlement support for cases specified in Clause 8, Article 111 of this Law;
e) Support for dismantling, demolition, and relocation as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 105 of this Law.
2. In addition to the support prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article, based on the actual situation in the locality, the Provincial People's Committee shall decide on other measures and levels of support to ensure accommodation and stable life and production for people whose land is recovered and property owners for each specific project.
3. The Government shall detail this Article.
