'Journey back to the red address' of Nghe An Provincial Women's Union
On the morning of May 9, the Women's Union of Nghe An province organized the program "Journey back to the red address" in Tru Son commune (Do Luong district) - where the Provincial Women's Union evacuated and set up its headquarters during the fierce years of resistance war against the US to save the country.

In early 1966, when the resistance war against the US entered a fierce phase, the Women's Union of Nghe An province moved from Vinh city to Tru Son commune (Do Luong district).
During the nearly 7 years of evacuation (1966 - 1972), Tru Son commune was not only a temporary shelter, but also became the second hometown of the cadres of the Nghe An Women's Union at that time. Because here, the cadres and local people helped, shared the joys and sorrows, and provided material and spiritual support to the cadres of the Union who stayed at the base during the fierce war years, helping the Union maintain the flame of revolution, steadfastly hold on, contributing to the glorious history of Nghe An women in particular and the whole nation in general.

The activity of returning to the source and showing gratitude to the cadres and people of Tru Son commune is a traditional activity of the Provincial Women's Union. On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union presented 29 gifts worth a total of 29 million VND to policy families, former local cadres and representatives of families who gave up their land and houses to the Provincial Women's Union to set up an office during the evacuation period and orphans in difficult circumstances.

The Association also donated money to support the construction of a "Warm House of Love" for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly's family with a total amount of 71 million VND (Provincial Women's Association 60 million VND and District Women's Association 11 million VND); at the same time, officials of the Provincial Women's Association also contributed to buying some household items for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly on her housewarming day.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly has a rather special situation, being disabled, often sick and a single mother. For a long time, mother and child had to depend on their grandmother's house; now having their own house, Ms. Ly and her child are very excited and promise to rise up to take control of their lives.

After more than 2 years of mobilizing and supporting the construction of houses for the poor and households with difficult housing circumstances according to Directive No. 21, dated February 10, 2023 of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has mobilized and connected to support the construction of 189 new houses and the repair of 160 houses owned by cadres, members and women; the total value of mobilized resources is 9.5 billion VND.
