The "Journey Back to the Red Addresses" of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Association.
On the morning of May 9th, the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union organized the "Journey to the Red Address" program in Tru Son commune (Do Luong district) – where the Provincial Women's Union was evacuated and established its headquarters during the fierce years of the resistance war against the US for national liberation.

In early 1966, as the resistance war against the US entered its most intense phase, the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union evacuated from Vinh City to Tru Son commune (Do Luong district).
During the nearly seven years (1966-1972) of evacuation, Tru Son commune was not only a temporary residence but also became a second home for the officials of the Nghe An Women's Union at that time. Here, the local officials and people provided support, sharing both joys and sorrows, and offering both material and spiritual assistance to the Women's Union officials during the fierce war years. This helped the Union maintain the revolutionary spirit, steadfastly persevere, and contribute to the glorious history of women in Nghe An in particular and the nation in general.

The activity of returning to the roots and showing gratitude to the officials and people of Tru Son commune is a traditional activity of the Provincial Women's Union. On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union presented 29 gifts totaling 29 million VND to policy beneficiary families, former local officials, and representatives of families who gave up their land and houses for the Provincial Women's Union to set up its office during the evacuation period, as well as orphaned children in difficult circumstances.

The Association also provided financial support for the construction of a "House of Love" for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly's family, totaling 71 million VND (60 million VND from the Provincial Women's Association and 11 million VND from the District Women's Association); at the same time, officials from the Provincial Women's Association also contributed to purchasing some household items for Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly on her housewarming day.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly has a rather special situation; she is disabled, frequently ill, and a single mother. For a long time, she and her child have relied on her maternal grandmother's family; now that they have their own house, Ms. Ly and her child are very excited and promise to strive to become independent and self-reliant.

After more than two years of campaigning and supporting housing construction for the poor and households with difficult housing circumstances according to Directive No. 21, dated February 10, 2023, of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, women's associations at all levels in the province have mobilized and connected support for the construction of 189 new houses and the repair of 160 houses owned by female cadres, members, and women; the total value of mobilized funds is 9.5 billion VND.
