Located near Nam Can International Border Gate, Noong De Pass on National Highway 7 is the longest pass in the western region of Nghe An. Seen from above, this pass is very majestic, no less than the "great passes" across Vietnam.
Noong De Pass (also known as Noong De), located in Nam Can Commune, Ky Son District, is located on National Highway 7. The top of the pass is about 8km from Nam Can International Border Gate. On July 23, 1968, the Ministry of Interior of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam decided to change the name to Noong De Pass (or Noong De), the name of a village where this pass passes through. In particular, from here through Nam Can Border Gate, you will reach Noong Het District, Xieng Khouang Province (Laos), where the famous Plain of Jars tourist destination is located.
