Russia determined to continue negotiations with Ukraine
Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations said that Russia is determined to continue negotiations with Ukraine to end the conflict.

According to RIA Novosti, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia is determined to continue "serious direct negotiations" with Ukraine.
"We intend to continue to act in this way and are determined to resume the process of serious direct negotiations with Ukraine, which were interrupted in April 2022," Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on May 29 (Washington time).
Mr. Nebenzya said that the current US leadership “has opened its eyes” to the “true face” of the Ukrainian government and the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict.
"Over the past few months, the new US administration has opened its eyes to the true face of the Zelensky government and the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict," the Russian diplomat said.
According to Mr. Nebenzya, Mr. Zelensky and his allies want to “deceive and disorient US President Donald Trump,” “at all costs” to bring the US back to an anti-Russian and anti-Russian stance.
“The plans of Mr. Zelensky and his allies, as they say, are sewn with white thread. Their task is to deceive and disorient US President Donald Trump, who is taking decisive steps towards peace, to try at all costs to return to his country, which has wasted hundreds of billions of dollars to help Ukraine, anti-Russian and anti-Russian positions,” Mr. Nebenzya said at a meeting of the Security Council.
“As long as Kiev continues to try to prolong the war and provoke Russia by attacking civilian and residential infrastructure on our territory, we will continue special military operations and the destruction of facilities related to the military potential of the Kiev regime. And no new sanctions against Russia, arms supplies to Ukraine and other hostile measures against Russia will prevent Ukraine’s military defeat,” the Russian diplomat asserted.
Today (May 30), at Russia's request, the United Nations Security Council will hold a meeting on the Ukraine issue.
