Russia is determined to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations said that Russia is determined to continue negotiations with Ukraine to end the conflict.
According to RIA Novosti, Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that Russia is determined to continue "serious direct negotiations" with Ukraine.
"We intend to continue acting in this manner and are determined to continue the process of serious direct negotiations with Ukraine, which were interrupted in April 2022," said Russia's Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya at a UN Security Council meeting on May 29 (Washington time).
Nebenzya said that current US leaders have “opened their eyes” to the “true face” of the Ukrainian government and the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict.
"In the past few months, the new US administration has opened its eyes to the true face of the Zelensky administration and the root causes of the Ukraine conflict," the Russian diplomat said.
According to Nebenzya, Zelensky and his allies want to "deceive and mislead US President Donald Trump," "at all costs," to bring the US back to an anti-Russian and anti-Russian stance.
"The plans of Zelensky and his allies, as they say, are sewn together with white thread. Their mission is to deceive and mislead US President Donald Trump, who is taking decisive steps toward peace, to try at all costs to return his country, which has wasted hundreds of billions of dollars helping Ukraine, to its anti-Russian and anti-Russian stances," Nebenzya said at a meeting of the Security Council.
The Russian diplomat asserted: “As long as Kyiv continues to try to prolong the war and provoke Russia by attacking civilian and residential infrastructure on our territory, we will continue special military operations and destroy facilities related to the military potential of the Kyiv regime. And no new sanctions against Russia, or the supply of weapons to Ukraine and other hostile measures against Russia will be able to prevent Ukraine’s military defeat.”
Today (May 30), at the request of Russia, the United Nations Security Council will hold a meeting on the issue of Ukraine.
