Nghe An: Young man swept away by flood at night
Landslides and flash floods in Nghe An caused widespread damage to houses, crops, roads and some people were swept away.
On the afternoon of May 30, the authorities of Na Loi commune, Ky Son district, said that the authorities had just found the body of a young man who died due to floods in the area.
The victim was Kha Phon Xay, born in 1993, who was swept away by floodwaters and his body was found at Khe Tam, Na Loi commune, Ky Son district.
Heavy rain and rising floodwaters throughout the night of May 29 in Ky Son in general and Na Loi commune in particular caused flash floods, breaking the concrete bridge at Huoi Khap stream in Na Loi commune, on the Na Loi - Pieng Lau - Huoi Xan route.
According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, the flood damaged 19 houses. Of which, 2 were in My Ly commune, 2 were in Huoi Tu commune, 7 were in Dooc May commune, and 8 were in Muong Tip commune.
