Nghe An: Young man swept away by flood during the night.
Landslides and flash floods in Nghe An province have caused widespread damage to houses, crops, and roads, and some people have been swept away by the floods.
At noon on May 30th, the authorities of Na Loi commune, Ky Son district, announced that functional forces had just found the body of a young man who died due to flooding in the area.
The victim was Kha Phon Xay, born in 1993, who was swept away by the flood and whose body was found in Khe Tam stream, Na Loi commune, Ky Son district.
Heavy rain and rising floodwaters throughout the night of May 29th in Ky Son district in general, and Na Loi commune in particular, caused flash floods, resulting in the collapse of a concrete bridge at Huoi Khap stream in Na Loi commune, on the Na Loi - Pieng Lau - Huoi Xan road.
According to a preliminary report from the Ky Son District People's Committee, the floods damaged 19 houses. These include 2 houses in My Ly commune, 2 in Huoi Tu commune, 7 in Dooc May commune, and 8 in Muong Tip commune.
