Cameras 'caught' over 6,800 traffic violations in Nghe An.
Through the traffic safety violation monitoring system, the authorities in Nghe An province have detected 6,851 violations.
Of these, 672 cases resulted in the temporary suspension of driving licenses, and 362 cases resulted in points being deducted from driving licenses. The total amount of fines collected for the State budget reached over 7.9 billion VND.
Specifically, among the violations detected by the monitoring system, there were 6,626 cases of speeding and 225 cases of failing to obey traffic lights. Authorities have notified the vehicle owners to resolve 5,702 cases.
This information was announced at a thematic session of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on the morning of June 13th, in the report summarizing the work on ensuring traffic order and safety during the first nearly six months of 2025.
Overall, in the first nearly six months of the year, the Nghe An Traffic Police force detected and issued administrative violation reports on traffic order and safety in 34,710 cases; issued fines in 31,021 cases, and transferred over 55.9 billion VND to the State budget.
Specifically, the Road Traffic Police issued administrative violation reports for 34,518 cases. The violators complied with the penalty decisions in 30,829 cases, contributing over 55.6 billion VND to the State budget, revoking driving licenses and professional certificates for a limited period in 2,816 cases, and deducting points from driving licenses in 4,087 cases.
Among the common violations identified by authorities, there were 11,190 cases of speeding; 6,031 cases of driving under the influence of alcohol; and 104 cases of drivers operating vehicles while under the influence of drugs.
On the railway, authorities conducted surveys to ensure order and traffic safety on the North-South railway line passing through Nghe An province; and coordinated with relevant units to inspect compliance with regulations on railway traffic safety at stations, level crossings, and unauthorized access points.
Patrol and control activities were also implemented simultaneously. As a result, the authorities recorded and processed 155 violations, transferring over 55 million VND to the State budget.
Meanwhile, on inland waterways, especially in festival areas with high traffic density, authorities mobilized maximum resources and personnel to manage traffic flow, provide guidance, and inspect safety conditions. Authorities detected and issued administrative fines to 37 violators, collecting over 277 million VND for the state budget.
