Camera 'caught' more than 6,800 traffic violations in Nghe An
Through the traffic order and safety violation monitoring system, Nghe An province's functional forces have detected 6,851 violations.
Of these, 672 cases had their driving licenses revoked for a limited period, and 362 cases had their driving license points deducted. The total amount of fines collected to the State budget reached more than 7.9 billion VND.
Specifically, among the violations recorded through the monitoring system, there were 6,626 cases of speeding and 225 cases of failure to comply with traffic lights. The authorities notified vehicle owners to resolve 5,702 cases.
The above information was announced at a thematic meeting of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the morning of June 13, in the preliminary report on ensuring traffic order and safety in the first 6 months of 2025.
In total, in the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An Traffic Police detected and recorded 34,710 administrative violations of traffic order and safety; issued decisions to punish 31,021 cases, and transferred more than 55.9 billion VND to the State budget.
Of which, the Road Traffic Police recorded 34,518 administrative violations. The violators complied with the decision to sanction 30,829 cases, transferred more than 55.6 billion VND to the State budget, revoked the right to use driving licenses and temporary practice certificates in 2,816 cases, and deducted points from driving licenses in 4,087 cases.

Among the common violations pointed out by the authorities, there were 11,190 cases of speeding; 6,031 cases of drinking alcohol while participating in traffic; and 104 cases of drivers with drugs in their bodies.
On the railway, the authorities have surveyed the situation, ensuring order and traffic safety on the North-South railway passing through Nghe An province; coordinated with relevant units to inspect compliance with regulations on ensuring railway traffic safety at stations, level crossings and self-opened walkways.
Patrol and control work was also deployed synchronously. Thereby, the authorities recorded 155 violations, transferring more than 55 million VND to the State budget.
Meanwhile, on inland waterways, especially in festival areas where traffic density is high, authorities have mobilized maximum forces and means to regulate traffic, guide and check safety conditions. Authorities have detected and administratively sanctioned 37 violations, collecting more than 277 million VND to the State budget.
