Nghe An Newspaper is one of the local Party newspapers with a long history, strong political will and a spirit of constant innovation. Starting from the traditional print newspaper platform, the Newspaper has boldly transformed itself, building a multi-platform press ecosystem, including electronic newspapers, television and social networks. Thanks to that, the Newspaper's works not only spread widely, effectively orienting public opinion but also contributing to leading society, vividly reflecting the political life, Party building work, economic, cultural and social development of the province.

The prestige and unique identity of Nghe An Newspaper are increasingly affirmed in the hearts of readers and through clear marks at the Central and local press awards. On average, each year, Nghe An Newspaper wins about 60 press awards at the Central, ministerial, sectoral and provincial levels, a number that shows the quality, professionalism and dedication of the journalism team.

In the system of awards, Nghe An Newspaper's strong mark is clearly shown at the National Press Award on Party building - "Golden Hammer and Sickle". This is a political and ideological award, considered as a "measure of courage" of revolutionary journalism. Writing about Party building is a particularly important topic, but also very difficult, dry and requires courage, knowledge as well as high political acumen.

At the ceremony to announce and award the 9th National Press Award on Party building, named "Golden Hammer and Sickle" - 2024, held on the evening of January 20, 2025, General Secretary To Lam assessed: Through 9 times of organization, the Award has increasingly affirmed its prestige, stature and demonstrated the professional maturity and political mettle of the team of professional and non-professional journalists writing on the topic of Party building. Journalists have truly taken on the responsibility and integrated themselves into the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system, reflecting and analyzing in a very diverse and rich way all aspects of Party building work, in all types of grassroots party organizations, across the country.

It is a matter of pride that over the past 9 seasons, Nghe An Newspaper has made its mark with many excellent works that have been honored since the first season. From works such as "Consolidating the political system in special regions" (B prize), "A strong Party is due to good Party cells", "The role of cadres and Party members in cyberspace" (C prize) to recently "Innovating the Party's leadership methods: Lessons from vivid practice" (2024 Outstanding Thematic Work Award), Nghe An Newspaper has shown its solid theoretical capacity, sharp critical ability, and close connection with the practice of Party building at the grassroots level.

Also in 2024, the Newspaper was honored to receive a Collective Certificate of Merit for its innovative media products, demonstrating the pioneering role of a local Party newspaper in political communication. These recognitions are not only a source of pride but also a testament to the vitality of innovative thinking and the sense of political responsibility of revolutionary journalists.

Not only stopping at the "Golden Hammer and Sickle", Nghe An Newspaper also made its mark at many other prestigious press awards, affirming the diverse and comprehensive capacity of its team of reporters and editors. From the work "Close-up of the flood center" (Category C - 2010) to high awards at the National Press Awards 2023 such as: "Giving is forever" (B prize), "Green economy: Inevitable trend" and "Danger called dust" (Category C), Nghe An Newspaper has demonstrated its professional working capacity, sensitivity to current events and rich humanity.

At the “Dien Hong” Award – a journalism award for writing about the National Assembly and People’s Councils, Nghe An Newspaper has had award-winning works for 3 consecutive years (2022-2024). Typical works include: “Deserving of being an elected representative”, “Innovating the activities of elected agencies for the goal of creating development” and “Special Resolution: Overcoming the narrow ‘mechanism shirt’”. The works not only sharply reflect the supervisory and representative role of elected representatives, but also contribute to promoting institutional innovation and improving the effectiveness of local governance.

In the 2024 "For the cause of great national unity" award, two works of the Newspaper also left their mark: "Gathering and building a great national unity bloc in the 4.0 era" (B prize) and "Reconciliation at the grassroots level: Timely, from the root, big things become small" (C prize), clearly reflecting the depth of humanity, topicality and modern expressive capacity of the journalism team.

Along with the Central-level press awards, at home, Nghe An Newspaper continues to maintain its leading role. From 2017 to 2025, the Newspaper has won 63 provincial-level press awards (including 9 first prizes) and 56 provincial-level "Golden Hammer and Sickle" awards (10 first prizes). This is not only an achievement in quantity but also an affirmation of the quality, theoretical depth and capacity to organize elaborate press topics with political depth and social influence.
