Coffee prices today, June 23, 2025: Falling below 100,000 VND/kg
Domestic coffee prices today, June 23rd, are at 95,500 - 96,000 VND/kg. Coffee prices have plummeted by a shocking 15% in a week, falling below the 100,000 VND/kg mark, marking the sharpest weekly drop in years.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 23, 2025, remain unchanged, fluctuating between 95,500 and 96,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Lak province are buying coffee at the highest price of 96,000 VND/kg. This remains unchanged at 5,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Nong province remains unchanged at 96,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged compared to yesterday, trading at 96,000 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged from yesterday at 95,500 VND/kg.
Over the past week, domestic coffee prices have fallen sharply by nearly 15% compared to the previous week. The current price is the lowest since March 2024 and is down more than 29% from its peak of 135,500 VND/kg at the end of March.
According to traders, domestic coffee prices have fallen to their lowest level in over a year, influenced by the decline in global coffee prices, while the supply of robusta from other producing countries continues to increase.
Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Chairman of VICOFA, believes the main reason is the sharp increase in supply from Brazil, a country currently in its harvest season with better-than-expected yields. This is a time when prices usually fall due to abundant supply. In addition, geopolitical tensions are causing financial speculators to shift capital to markets with higher profit margins such as gold and oil, withdrawing from commodities like coffee.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:
On the London exchange, robusta coffee futures for July 2025 ended the week at $3,887 per ton, down $551, or 12.4%, from the previous week. The September contract fell even more sharply, by nearly 13%, to $3,737 per ton.
On the New York exchange, the price of arabica coffee for July 2025 delivery also fell sharply by nearly 10%, to 315.05 cents/lb; the September contract fell by more than 10%, to 309.95 cents/lb.
According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), global coffee prices are under downward pressure due to large supplies from Brazil and other South American countries. USDA forecasts indicate that Brazil's coffee production for the next crop year will increase slightly to 65 million bags.
Honduras, Central America's largest coffee producer, also had a favorable harvest. Meanwhile, Vietnam's robusta coffee production for the 2025-2026 season is projected to increase by 7%, reaching 31 million bags, the highest level in the last four years.
