The Ukraine conflict has reached a turning point.
The American newspaper Politico argues that, with the Pentagon's decision to halt arms transfers to Kyiv, the Ukraine conflict has reached a turning point.

According to RIA Novosti on July 3, the Washington Post reported that the fierce conflict in Ukraine has reached a turning point due to the actions of the Russian Armed Forces and the US decision to suspend the supply of Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine.
The article stated: "The fierce war in Ukraine has reached a turning point in history."
According to this publication, Kyiv is facing a severe shortage of weapons and soldiers, affecting the conduct of military operations on the front lines.
"Western nations supporting Ukraine warn that, without immediate aid, the government in Kyiv could face catastrophic collapse," the Washington Post emphasized.
The day before, Politico reported that the U.S. had halted deliveries of anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Kyiv due to concerns that its own stockpiles were running low. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly confirmed the suspension of deliveries, emphasizing that the White House "put America's interests first" in that decision.
Meanwhile, Politico continues to report, citing reliable sources, that the Kyiv authorities have changed their tactics in requesting weapons from the US; they now want Washington to allow them to purchase American weapons through Europe.
"Ukraine has put forward a new plan to force the U.S. to send more weapons, by asking Washington to allow Europe to buy American weapons for Ukraine," Politico reported.
As part of this strategy, the governments of several European countries are exploring options for purchasing American weapons using funds from their military budgets to transfer to Ukraine.
However, the two sides have yet to reach an agreement on this matter. A source said that such an arms transfer would require approval from the US, with details currently being negotiated.
Specifically, according to Politico, the negotiations will involve lifting US restrictions on Ukraine's use of American weapons.
