The General Staff and the Ministry of National Defense offer incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Bon Historical Relic Site.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 16, a working delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army led by Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) came to offer incense and flowers at Truong Bon Relic Site.

The delegation included Major General Hoang Duy Chien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

At Truong Bon Relic Site, after offering flowers and incense at the common grave of 13 heroic martyrs of the youth volunteer movement, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Memorial House of 1,240 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the legendary Truong Bon road, together reviewing the heroic history of the land associated with the heroic sacrifices of heroic martyrs.

On Route 15A through Truong Bon, 1,240 cadres, soldiers and youth volunteers sacrificed their lives to protect the route. Especially the heroic feats and sacrifices of 13 soldiers of the “Steel Squad”, “Suicide Squad” of the Youth Volunteer Company 317 on October 31, 1968 while on duty.

Offering incense and flowers at Truong Bon historical relic site, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the delegation expressed their respect and infinite gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the martyrs for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The delegation pledged to continue to strive, unite and complete the task excellently, firmly protect the independence and sovereignty of the Fatherland, and build the country to become increasingly prosperous, strong and civilized.
