Russia asks Security Council to hold urgent meeting on Ukraine
Russia has requested a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Ukraine on July 31.

According to RIA Novosti on July 26, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, said that Russia has requested a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Ukraine on July 31.
“We are trying not to pay attention to how the corrupt regime in Kiev is trying to save Zelensky and his team, questioning the future of Ukraine. We will talk about this in detail at a separate meeting at our request on July 31, where we propose to focus on the discussion of actions that undermine the search for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict, including attempts to disrupt the direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul,” Dmitry Polyansky said.
The third round of talks between Russia and Ukraine took place on July 23 in Istanbul, where the delegations agreed to continue the indefinite exchange of sanitary supplies for seriously wounded and sick people.
The head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky expressed hope to continue contacts with the Ukrainian side not only at the level of the delegation. During the negotiations, Moscow proposed that Kiev create three working groups to resolve the conflict, and the Ukrainian side promised to consider this initiative.
The Kremlin stressed that Russia is ready to act quickly on the issue of settling the Ukrainian issue, but it is important for Moscow to achieve its goals and ensure its interests.
