Russia demands an emergency meeting of the Security Council on Ukraine.

According to RIA Novosti on July 26, Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said that Russia had requested a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on July 31.

"We are trying to ignore the corrupt regime in Kyiv, trying to save Zelensky and his team, and questioning the future of Ukraine. We will discuss this in detail at a separate meeting at our request on July 31st – where we propose to focus our discussion on actions undermining the search for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict, including attempts to disrupt direct Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul," said Dmitry Polyansky.

The third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place on July 23 in Istanbul, where the delegations agreed to continue the indefinite exchange of sanitary supplies for those who are seriously injured or ill.

The head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, expressed hope for continued contact with the Ukrainian side, not only at the delegation level. During the talks, Moscow proposed that Kyiv establish three working groups to resolve the conflict, and the Ukrainian side promised to consider this initiative.

The Kremlin stressed that Russia is ready to act quickly on the issue of resolving Ukraine, but it is important for Moscow to achieve its goals and secure its interests.
