Tan Mai Ward Party Committee was established on the basis of merging 3 administrative units: Quynh Di Ward, Quynh Lap Commune and Quynh Loc Commune. Tan Mai Ward Party Committee currently has 56 affiliated party organizations, with 1,154 party members.

Tan Mai is a new ward, new in terms of development space, new in terms of organizational structure but not new in terms of historical tradition, culture, solidarity spirit, and efforts to overcome difficulties and rise up of cadres, party members and people here.

With the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus and efforts of the people, Tan Mai ward has achieved many important and comprehensive results with many bright spots.

The economy grew at double digits, with an average growth rate of 13.47% in the 2020-2025 period; The average added value per capita is estimated at over 82 million VND. The economic structure has shifted positively towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction - services, with a number of industries and fields with strengths being focused on promoting.

There has been much progress in the cultural and social fields. People's lives have been significantly improved, and the urban landscape has changed a lot. The poverty rate has dropped to 0.8%, lower than the average of the province.

National defense and security are ensured; political security and social order and safety are stable; the ward has been recognized and continues to maintain a drug-free ward.

Party building and political system building are focused on, the effectiveness of government management and administration is improved. The role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is promoted.

Building Tan Mai to become a prosperous ward of the country

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee determined the goal: "Building Tan Mai to become a prosperous ward of the country, one of the growth poles in the North of Nghe An province, achieving the criteria of a civilized urban area by 2030".

To realize this goal, the ward has set out 27 specific targets, 4 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs and main groups of solutions. In particular, the growth rate of total product value in the area in the period of 2025 - 2030 will reach 14 - 15%; average income per capita by 2030 will reach 160 - 180 million VND/person/year.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the important achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Tan Mai ward have achieved in the past term.

He noted a number of issues that Tan Mai ward needs to pay attention to regarding personnel work, organizational structure; economic development orientation; comprehensive care for socio-cultural fields, improving the quality of material and spiritual life for the people, ensuring social security; strengthening national defense and security associated with the key task of maintaining security and order in the area.

At the same time, the Ward Party Committee needs to continue to promote the building and rectification of the Party and the ward political system to be strong, streamlined, effective and efficient, quickly meeting the requirements and major tasks of the two-level local government.

In particular, for economic development, based on the assessment of potential, advantages and development space, Tan Mai ward needs to focus on exploiting its "unique" advantages when directly adjacent to Nghi Son Economic Zone (Thanh Hoa), industrial parks, industrial clusters such as Hoang Mai, Dong Hoi, Quynh Loc, with many large, key projects being implemented; favorable advantages in terms of traffic connection, especially seaport potential.

Harmoniously plan industry, tourism, services and agriculture in a sustainable and mutually supportive manner; prioritize attracting clean industries and tourism-supporting industries; and strictly control sources of environmental pollution. Develop urban areas along rivers and towards the sea in a green, smart and sustainable manner. Tan Mai Ward must consider these as pillars for rapid development while ensuring balance, comprehensiveness and stability.

Besides, Tan Mai also needs to prepare well the related infrastructure from the planning stage to ensure synchronization and connectivity; use land funds reasonably, especially in preparing the site to attract investors.

Besides, Tan Mai ward needs to continue to pay attention to cultural and social development; be more active and determined in building civilized urban areas and model residential areas.

Focus on improving the quality of education, training and healthcare. Implement social security work well. Focus on protecting marine resources and environment, associated with responding to climate change; protect the safety and security of sea and island sovereignty.

Immediately after the Congress, the Ward Party Committee needs to urgently complete and issue an action program to implement the Resolution along with specific plans and projects, close to reality, clearly assigning people, tasks, time, authority, responsibility, and results; selecting key, key tasks with leading and spreading characteristics to focus on directing drastically, creating clear changes right from the beginning of the term.

The Congress announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the appointment of the Ward Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 29 comrades, the Ward Party Standing Committee consisting of 11 comrades, and the Tan Mai Ward Party Inspection Committee consisting of 4 comrades. Comrade Dam Huu Hong was appointed to hold the position of Party Secretary and Chairman of the Tan Mai Ward People's Council for the 2025-2030 term.

Delegates unanimously approved the full text of the Congress Resolution, demonstrating political determination to put the resolution into practice.
