According to TASS on September 7, Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told the news agency in an interview at the Eastern Economic Forum that resolving the situation in Ukraine requires a difficult dialogue between different parties.

Mr. Peskov noted that all of President Vladimir Putin's partners in the world support his dialogue with US leader Donald Trump and peace efforts on Ukraine.

“All support for this process is absolutely complete. But the dialogue is still quite difficult, and many contradictions have not been resolved,” Mr. Peskov said.

On September 4, in a conversation with the press after his visit to China, President Putin said that if Mr. Zelensky is ready for negotiations, “let him come to Moscow.” At the same time, the Russian leader called Mr. Zelensky “the current head of government” of Ukraine, and emphasized that Mr. Zelensky’s power as president had long expired.

For his part, Mr. Zelensky has refused to go to Moscow. Mentioned in an interview with ABC News, Mr. Zelensky said that he was accused of not being able to go to the Russian capital. However, the Ukrainian leader has repeatedly stated that he is "ready for a meeting", and "in any format".
